Whether men realize it or not, they impart the spiritual DNA of fathering to their sons. This is why so many young men are angry, wounded, and confused when their father is missing in their lives.
What impact has a father played in your life?
Jesus said in Luke 6:38, “Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Mama said or showed me:
Always maintain your integrity.
Don’t think more highly of yourself than you should.
God knows your mind and your heart, so be mindful of how you treat people.
Never give up, don’t quit, keep moving forward, and don’t look back.
Stick-to-it-ness!
Mom taught me not to begrudge others for what they have.
Strive to do what is pleasing to God, and don’t worry what others think.
All you have is your name, and you never know who is watching you.
Always remember that God is in control!!!

It should be no surprise that when it came to the human race, God began with man. Having created the heavens and the earth, and ultimately, the world, it appears The Father realized that something essential was missing. Everything already created was good. However, something very important to the Lord was missing. There was nothing created that could represent God, Himself, on earth. The solution was quite simple for the Lord.
Our current culture either takes the importance of relationships for granted or ignores them altogether. The point being made is that over time the influence of culture impacts every aspect of life. This is especially true when it comes to fathers and sons.
Dr. Boyd also is an author speaking to the next generation of men about fatherhood, manhood, and masculinity. The goal of this endeavor is to see men return to their rightful place in the home, in the workplace, and in the church.
